State of the Studios Address Week of July 23, 2018 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Crews have now closed the entire Stage guest parking area and have quickly erected multiple steel beams for a new structure taking shape. New decorative outdoor lighting as well as tall palm tree foliage is now visible in the lot.  Surface paving is underway and precast concrete pipes are awaiting installation. Crews have finished a large cement structure on one end of the Park’s arrival and departure station since the last Disney Skyliner update. In addition, several columns have appeared on the side of the large green station dome roofing. Click the link below for full coverage.

Guests will want to celebrate the new Toy Story Land with a delicious new themed cupcake. This tasty chocolate cupcake pictured below comes with a Toy Story blue vanilla buttercream topping and even a small chocolate replica Toy Story Land insert. Complete with a Pixar ball logo nestled in the topping, this dessert awaits diners at both the ABC Commissary and the Sunset Ranch Market dining locations. Click the link below for full coverage.

The popular face painting location near Pixar Place has been vacated. Only the canvas shelter that once housed this fun experience remains visible. Guests young and old will still have the opportunity for face painting beginning July 24. The Special FX Makeup located near Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster reopens on this date.

Construction crews continue to erect metal structures and supports as work progresses on Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. The Planet Battu’s mountainous landscape, along with craters and peaks, continue to near final formation as visible in the new photos below. Click the link below for full coverage.
