State of the Studios Address Week of January 14, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Painting crews have added a red colored accent stripe to the Skyliner exterior metal shell. Electrical work also continues with the installation of surveillance cameras above walk ramps.

Construction activities continue on the resort and charter bus arrival and departure areas. Additional structural and exterior finishing work is pictured below. Workers are placing the finishing touches on transforming the former Pixar Place into the New Metroville city block . Set to open January 19, 2019, this new attraction will enable guests to meet super suit designer Edna Mode as well as celebrate with Incredible characters at a day long party featuring lively music, dancing, and lots of Super fun for all ages.

Shoppers will find new apparel and accessory selections this week at Carthay Circle. Think Outside The Dot themed women’s clothing , tote bags, Mickey ears, and foot ware are all on display. Diners at this Quick Service location will notice menu changes and additions. New selections include tasty Chicken Breast Strips and Biscuit served with gravy as well as a Cuban Sandwich with roasted pulled pork and sliced ham. The popular Royal Guard Burger has been renamed the Backlot Burger. New dessert offerings include a delicious Key Lime Pie Verrine. Chocolate lovers will want to order the new rich Peanut Butter and Chocolate Brownie.
