State of the Studios Address Week of March 4, 2019 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Skyliner gondolas are visible moving along the overhead cabling in and out of the Park’s station still wrapped in original shipping covering. Exclusive video below reveals crews conducting operational tests of the gondolas in motion with individual boarding doors opening and closing. Workers are installing  overhead ceiling fans in the guest loading area and conducting additional site work day and night. Construction efforts continue on the much anticipated future Disney resort bus loading and unloading areas. Additional roadway paving and new  concrete walkways are completed while new overhead lighting and cooling fans are visible. Crews are planting foliage as well as positioning large trees by crane  in the surrounding landscape. Metal structural fabrication continues at a rapid pace near the former guest tram loading areas. Green refurbishment  barriers have gone up around the former Star Wars speeder bike photo op on Grand Avenue. Construction equipment is now in  place.

Shopper can select from Mickey Mouse Club accessories on display at Carthay Circle located on Sunset Blvd. Selections include a colorful themed purse, wallet, and waist pack.  Mouse ears and women’s tee shirts to compliment these accessories are also available.

The remodeling of Legends of Hollywood on Sunset Blvd. will include space expansion into the adjacent closed Planet Hollywood  Super Store. Shoppers can expect to again enjoy the  Legends of Hollywood which is expected to reopen in the summer of 2019.

Guests can enjoy a nine minute preview of the new motion picture Dumbo that premiers in theaters on March 29, 2019. This new movie is inspired by Disney’s animated film of the same name. The preview can be enjoyed  daily in the Walt Disney Theatre from 10am to 6 pm.
