Universal Orlando Citywalk Reopens to Guests

Universal Studios Orlando welcomed guests to the reopening of City Walk on May 14, 2020. From the moment visitors entered the Park’s property amid the lush landscape, City Walk Orlando team members eagerly greeted arriving  individuals . A visitor health screening station in the parking structure walk way took guest temperatures and assured face coverings prior to the entrance to Universal’s normal security bag screening and metal detector pass through. Hosts stationed on the second level above the main City Walk entrance waved to guests as they announced available dining and shopping locations  including pass holder discounts over a speaker system throughout the evening. Signage and team members encouraged visitors to practice heathy practices including safe  social distancing during the 4pm to 10 pm operating hours. While the Universal Studios and the Islands of Adventure parks remained closed, construction and refurbishment was visible through entrance gates and in the distant skyline. Crowds eagerly  sought out some of their favorite locations including VooDoo Donuts, Bubba Gump Shrimp Company, Margaritaville, as well os Hollywood Drive In Golf. Despite a smaller  guest capacity and limited menus for the first evening after a nearly two month shutdown, visitors flocking to City Walk Orlando were happy to be back.
